Courses within the Biomedical Technology program concentrate on electronics fundamentals, human anatomy and biomedical instrumentation function and troubleshooting. Core electronic concepts along with human anatomy form the building blocks for the study of biomedical instruments as illustrated below. Biomedical instrumentation function and troubleshooting are extensively studied through project-based lab work.
Electric Fundamentals include basic electrical theory, concepts and mathematics that form the foundational knowledge for electricians to perform calculations involved in working with electrical systems. These concepts are studied prior to learning the electrical codes.

Biomedical Troubleshooting courses are lab intensive courses that train students to troubleshoot various biomedical instruments, portable medical equipment and ICU devices to the electronic component level. Emphasis is placed on common electronic designs and diagnostic techniques as it relates to biomedical instruments.
