SCIT accepts International Student Applications continuously throughout the year. There are no deadlines. To apply for admissions, please complete all six (6) sections of the International Application Packet and mail all items as one complete packet to SCIT (the packet includes a non-refundable application fee of $100 US) After your application is received, SCIT will review your application and notify you of your admittance status within 2 months. The ISP application contains 6 parts:
Please complete each part and mail the entire application as 1 packet to the SCIT Admissions Department. Certain sections require you to dowload and complete a PDF form. Once completed, please print and sign/date the form as indicated. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to complete the PDF form portions of the ISP application. Please download, complete, print and sign the International Application Form using Adobe Acrobat Reader. All sections of this form must be completed. Do not skip any sections. Part of this form requires that you submit 2 passport size photographs of yourself. Please do not tape and glue the photographs to the form. Instead, include them in the International Application Packet.
International ApplicationThe U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires that students possessing an F-1 visa prove that financial support for tuition and living expenses are readily available for themselves and accompanying dependents for one full year of study. To meet this requirement, you must submit an Affidavit of Financial Support Form to SCIT as part of the International Application Packet. Please download, complete, print and sign the form using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Print two (2) copies, one (1) to be submitted to SCIT as part of the International Application Packet and one (1) for you to take to the US Embassy when applying for a visa.
Affidavit of Financial SupportApplicants from countries where English is not the primary language and applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English-language proficiency by submitting to SCIT one (1) of the following:
If you do not have any proof of english competency, you may still apply to SCIT and, if accepted, will be given a standardized English proficienty test at SCIT. Depending on the outcome, you may need to attend ESL courses offered at SCIT.
Proof of High School completion is required for admission into SCIT. Please submit a copy of the primary credentials used in your country to demonstrate that you have completed high school or secondary school. If the document is not in English, a certified literal English translation must accompany the document.
If you have completed any College or Higher Education coursework, please submit a copy of your official transcript and certified literal Enlgish translation. Prior College coursework is nor required for admission into SCIT. The transcript must show your name.
The Personal Statement Essay is an opportunity for us to get a feel for who you as a person and as a student. There is no correct way of writing a personal statement, however, use the prompt bellow as a guide towards writing your essay:
Tell us about your intended major, career aspirations and why you would like to study in the United States.
Recommended Length: 300-500 words
The application fee for International Applicants is $100 (US). This fee is non-refundable. Currently SCIT does not accept credit card payments through the internet. Please choose one (1) of two (2) methods for submitting the applciation fee.

If you are admitted into the college, we will issue you a Form I-20, which will be mailed to the address provided on your completed application. When you receive your Form I-20, you should begin the visa application process at the nearest U.S. consulate. In addition to the Form I-20, SCIT will mail you a step by step guide to assist you through the visa application process.
