Industrial robots are used commonly used in industries where repetitive tasks are required. However at SCIT's student lab robots have found another job, playing bingo. Students at SCIT have programmed several CRS model A255 robots to play bingo by picking up blocks places in random order. The blocks are labeled with numbers and placed in random order over a specified area where the robots are programmed to pick them up. The robots sit on top of two advanced rail systems powered by strong electronic motors capable of up to 6000 RPM. Students have programmed these robots by using CRS's application shell as well as creating the actual algorithm through use of the RAPL-3 programming language.
